Any artist who wants shelter and supplement 

from the raw beating of the urban concrete 

should put themselves on a train heading 

towards 86th Street where they can find divine 

solace and 5,000 years of ancient motivation.

While taking the photographs I noticed that many of the stone reliefs, ritual sculptures and funerary objects are definitely haunted.

...Muahahahahaha, ha!

Henry Chapman Mercer

Henry Chapman Mercer was a historian, curator, archaeologist, and ceramist. A Renaissance man of the early the early 1900's..

The Mercer Museum's expanding collection contains more about 50,000 artifacts. The oldest artifacts in the museum are Native American  implements dating from 6,000 B.C. to 8,000 B.C.
